HELP FILL IN THE BLANKS
Help!

Many of you were involved with, or have memories of Phil, that predate my involvement at Levines. If you can help me fill in any of the missing dates, have an old picture of Phil, or one of his stores, or just want to re-live an "old Phil story", you can let me know using the form below. Eventually if and when I get a little collection of anecdotes, I'll post them here to help keep him alive in the memories of those of us who knew and loved him.

Thanks,

Steve Brettler,
President

23 DRYDOCK AVE. -- VISIT US

picture of Boston Marine IndustrialPark

Important Note: the directions below are correct as of today 10/02/03. However the area around South Station is smack dab in the middle of the biggest public works project ever in the history of the US, and even we regular commuters into the area are often surprised by unexpected detours, and streets that have totally disappeared overnight.

From the North off Rt 93, Central Artery: Take Exit #23, High/Congress St. This is BEFORE the South Station tunnel. Follow the signs toward Congress St., this will bring you onto Purchase St. Follow to the second light at Summer St. and take a sharp left on Summer. This will put South Station on your right. Follow Summer past the new Convention Ctr. (on right) and through the lights at ‘D’ St. At the next light take a left into the Boston Marine Industrial Park onto Drydock Ave. You may park directly in front of our building in the spaces adjacent to the cement walkway marked as 1 1/2 hour parking, or very reasonably in the parking deck which is back at about 19 Drydock Ave.

Check The Map

From the South:From Rte 93 Take exit 20 that takes you to the Mass Pike extension (Rte.90) toward Logan Airport. Take the South Boston Exit, #25, staying in the left lane of the exit ramp, towards Seaport Blvd. Go to the second light (you will see Pier 4 Restaurant dead ahead) and take a right on Seaport Blvd. Continue past the World Trade Ctr., Jimmy's Harborside Restaurant, and the Fleet Pavilion, all on your left, until you come to a small rotary. Go around and exit at the empty guard shack that is the entrance to the Boston Marine Industrial Park. This is now Northern Avenue. Follow to the end, take a right on Tide St. and a quick left on Drydock Ave. You may park directly in front of our building in the spaces adjacent to the cement walkway marked as 1 1/2 hour parking, or very reasonably in the parking deck which is back at about 19 Drydock Ave.

From the West: Follow The Pike (Rt. 90) east and follow the new Pike extension that heads toward South Boston and Logan Airport. Take Exit 25 to S. Boston, staying in the left lane of the exit ramp, towards Seaport Blvd. Go to the second light (you will see Pier 4 Restaurant dead ahead) and take a right on Seaport Blvd. Continue past the World Trade Ctr., Jimmy?s Harborside Restaurant, and the Fleet Pavilion, all on your left, until you come to a small rotary.

From the East: As might be proclaimed by a resident of one of New England's more northern states, "you can't get theya from heya". At least not by car. Long distance swimmers and yachtsmen will note that we are on the north side of the reserve channel. Visitors arriving to Logan International may often land by the southern approach to the airport directly over the building. Don't jump, wave, and then take either a taxi through the new Ted Williams Tunnel ( about $15.00) or the water shuttle (a nice ride and $8.00) and then a shorter taxi ride (about $3.00).
